A Walk to the Park

Today has been a nice day. The weather was beautiful and sunny! Grace and I went to the gym and she enjoyed playing which isn't always the case. After the gym we headed home for lunch and a nap. As soon as she was up from her nap we were out the door to meet Dustin as he was getting off of work and we took a nice long walk on base. We stopped at one of the school playgrounds and Grace had blast. I think her favorite is the swings! We left in such a hurry that I forgot to take the camera so we didn't get any pictures. Maybe next time.

Rainy Days

So what do we do when it rains? Go for a walk or play some flag football! Well, actually we didn't plan to walk in the rain or play/watch flag football in the rain, it just happened that way.

On Saturday morning it rained quite a bit then cleared up that afternoon so we decided to take Grace on a walk. She loves to be outside! We put on sunscreen and her little sun hat and left. About half-way through our walk it started to rain. We had a nice and wet walk and Grace enjoyed watching the rain fall and hitting her face!

Sunday consisted of going to church, coming home for lunch, going to Dustin's office to get some work done (it took all three of us!) and then going back to church for evening service.

On Monday, several guys from church got together to play flag football. And again it rained! One of the ladies had a nice quilt and an umbrella so Grace was very bundled up (it was a little chilly) and we all stayed dry while sitting on the side-lines!

Wonderful Weekend

We have had a wonderful weekend and have stayed pretty busy. Dustin got the weekend off (out of the field) for the 4-day which was really nice so he made it home Thursday night.
On Friday we picked up Grace's passport and CRBA (Consular Report of Birth Abroad) She can finally leave the country!! Then we took her in to the doctor for a nurse visit because her eye was looking a little red but it is just the common "goopy eye syndrome" that she has had since birth. Yeah, we probably over reacted but she has been a little congested so we thought maybe it was something more serious. We were told to keep watching her eye because there are evidently a lot of eye infections here and we don't want it to get to that. We went and got all of the paperwork we need to get her social security number and then ran a few more errands. And to cap off the day, Grace got to have bath time with her Daddy!

Saturday was a surprise baby shower that some friends had for us. Grace got some really cute outfits and several cool toys (she LOVES toys!) And we got a couple picture frames with pictures of Grace to hang in our hallway. It was very nice and a lot of fun! It was in the morning so we made it home for a late lunch and a much needed nap. Oh, and the video of Grace rolling over was taken at the shower!

Today (Sunday), we headed off to church (made it for Sunday school again!) and then went to Macaroni Grill to eat with some good friends afterwards (we should go there more often... coloring on the table is quite entertaining!!) When we got home we took Grace for a walk. She of course fell asleep in the stroller but she enjoyed the beautiful weather! After a 4 hour nap (what is that going to do to her bedtime????) she was in a very playful mood so we took some videos. We need to get better at using the cameras more often. We still have 1 more day left of the weekend!
