Sunday - This little girl enjoyed her dinner!

Monday - Olivia got to try out the new rocking horse at Grandma's house.

Wednesday - We made a tent in in the living room and Grace set up a picnic before bed.

Thursday - Olivia had fun playing with cans of soda while I was making our breakfast.

Friday - We visited my Aunt's house so Grace could play American Girl dolls with my cousins daughter.

Saturday - We made heart-shaped sugar cookies to celebrate Valentine's Day early since I will be in Germany on the actual day.

Sick

I have a couple of blog posts that I have planned but we have had sick girls this last week so I haven't been on blogger much. I am behind (AGAIN!) on Olivia's 11 month pictures and I have a cute video of her I want to share. Hopefully SOON!

Last Monday I picked Grace up from her Grandma's. She some how managed to go home with her after Brilyn's birthday party and ended up staying the night. I thought her voice sounded a little funny but just figured it was from all the rough play and screaming she had been doing during Uncle Deuce's lunch break that day. Well, the next day she was running a fever. And then the nasty cough set in.

And then on Saturday, the fever hit Olivia. And now they both have a nasty cough (which has kept them both up at night a few times). I think they are both on the road to recovery though!

P.S. Crazy Life, Army Wife is giving away a $25 Amazon gift card. I am really hoping I win because I shop at Amazon a LOT! I have our diapers and wipes on Subscribe and Save so I get automatic deliveries :) You can find the giveaway HERE

Oh, How Pinteresing Wednesday

I saw this on another blog last week and thought it would be fun to link up. If you don't know what Pinterest is, you are missing out! If you need an invite leave a comment with your email address and I will send you one :)

This week, I thought I would share some ideas I have found for Olivia's first birthday. We are going to have a very small party. I have 2 weeks to get everything I need because we will be leaving for Germany. I will only have 3 days to do everything once we get back (like make the cakes, cupcakes, decorate, etc.) So, let the planning begin!

Love this cupcake cake. I want to make the cupcake liner out of homemade marshmallow fondant like this one.

And since I was planning on doing a cupcake tower, I may try to add a tulle skirt to the bottom like this one.

And pom poms would make a perfect decoration.

Or maybe these? I think I need to make a trip to Hobby Lobby!

Love the ribbon!

This cake is super cute too!

Project Life Week 3

The Mom Creative

Week 3 - January 15 - 21

Sunday - I took Grace to Papa Bill's for a homeschool lesson on Nicaragua. She took her harmonica with her and they ended up playing together.

Monday - Dustin had the day off so we went to Norman for a fun day of shopping with the girls. When we got home it was so nice out that the girls played in the back yard for a while. They both loved the sandbox and you can tell by the look of Olivia's dirty face - she tried to eat the sand!!

Tuesday - I took Grace to the movies. She loved seeing Beauty and the Beast in 3D.

Wednesday - Olivia is growing up. She like to love on her dolls and teddy bears :)

Thursday - Olivia enjoyed playing with one of her Christmas presents all by herself.

Friday - Grace enjoyed playing in Grandma's studio. She had the tire swing set up for a photo shoot!

Saturday - I enjoyed some snuggle time with Grace and Olivia.

Beauty and the Beast 3D

On Tuesday, I took Grace to the movies. She was SO excited! We left Olivia with my Mom and headed to the theater. Grace was ready to leave! She told me we had to make sure we got there before the movie started. I am glad she realizes the importance of being on time!

We chose to watch Beauty and the Beast in 3D. This was our first movie to see in 3D!

We got our tickets and then had to take a quick picture before heading to the concession stand.

Grace got to choose our seats. She had the entire auditorium to choose from since we were the only ones at the movie :)

I pulled a pair of glasses out of my purse for her to wear during the movie.
We had to get a picture of her with her glasses on and popcorn and soda!

She was smiling for a picture but her eyes were watching the big screen.

I pulled out the other pair of glasses for myself and realized that we had gotten a child sized pair. I had given Grace mine. Oops!

Before the movie began, they played a short sequel to Tangled - "Tangled Ever After." It was really cute and we were both laughing.

But we were ready for our movie to begin. Grace sat and watched the entire movie. Not once did she want to leave or go play. She is really growing up!

I really enjoyed having an afternoon of fun with Grace. It isn't often that we do things like this.

10 Months... a bit late

I am late posting these AGAIN. I can't believe how fast time is flying by.

She really loves to point at things. Especially if she sees something she wants to eat. When she is ready for another bite at dinner time she will start saying "uh, uh..." and point to her food. Her she was showing me that she wants to play with the camera!

She found the iPod! I think we may have to move it away from her bed pretty soon :)

She is growing way too fast!! She has started crawling and following her sister. They love to play follow the leader (Grace is always the leader). She says "night, night" before going to bed. And she has turned into a Daddy's girl.

It won't be long before I will have to do an 11 month post. She was 10 months on Christmas day.

Project Life Week 2

This week I failed to use my camera for all of my pictures. Two of them are phone pictures and one is from the iPad. I didn't realize until I transferred the pictures from the iPad to my computer that the case is partially blocking the camera so I had to try and crop a black spot out of them.

But, I did get a picture every day this week!

 Week 2 - January 8 - 14

Sunday - Olivia was enjoying a ride in the laundry basket on top of clean sheets.

Monday - My Mom sent me this picture from her phone. Tea parties at Grandma's house are one of her favorite things!

Tuesday - The girls tore the feathers off of Grace's boa and had a good time playing with them. I threw a handful up in the air and Grace tried to catch them as they floated down.

Wednesday - Dustin took my camera to work so I grabbed the iPad to snap this picture of Olivia playing with Grace's balloon. This balloon has been floating around our house since the first Saturday in December.

Thursday - Olivia loves her Uncle Deuce. And she likes to play with his cowboy hat!

Friday - We visited Papa Bill to wish him a happy 78th birthday. Grace shared a snack of blueberries and strawberries with him.

Saturday - Olivia enjoyed a ride on Grandpa's new toy - his Razor!

I haven't got around to starting my scrapbook layouts yet. I am hoping I will have some time to play catch up while I am in Germany next month!

Mud Pies and Tea Parties

No, I am not blogging about the mud pies that are in our back yard.
And I am not blogging about the tea parties that Grace loves to have.

I want to tell you about the new blog my Mom just started - Mud Pies and Tea Parties... and other GRAND Adventures. She will be blogging about all the fun things she does with her 3 grandkids - Grace, Brilyn, and Olivia.

Yesterday she blogged about Grace's THIRD Birthday. And I am sure there will be many more fun things to coming soon!

Go check it out!! http://mudpiesandteaparties.blogspot.com/

Project Life Week 1

Scrapbooking is something that I love but have not had time for since having children. During 2011, I watched Daily Dwelling document their life through her digital scrapbooking. This has inspired me to  work harder to capture the little moments of each and every day and to document them.
This year I am going to join Project Life Tuesday over at The Mom Creative. Every Tuesday I will be posting pictures from the previous week (Sunday through Saturday). I am also going to give digital scrapbooking a try and I will post the pages I make here too.

Now on to week 1:

The Mom Creative

Week 1 - January 1-7

Sunday - We spent the morning in downtown San Antonio. We visited the Alamo and then strolled the riverwalk.

Monday - We spent the morning taking down Christmas decorations. Grace was a big help!

Tuesday - Grace found a candy cane and somehow Olivia took it from her. We had to get a new one for Grace.

Wednesday - We took advantage of the nice weather and spent the afternoon outside. Grace & Olivia had fun in their pink cars :)

Thursday - We put up Grace's Dora tent and they had such a good time playing in it! What a joy it is to hear the laughter of my sweet girls.

Friday - Grace was getting ready for her 3 year pictures. My Mom put her hair in hot rollers (and she was chewing some gum she got from Grandpa's stash!)

Saturday - Grace loves to dress up! She tried to go to the commissary wearing this same "outfit" early this week but I talked her into leaving it in the car so it wouldn't get lost or dirty.
