Project Life Week 8

It is time for another week of Project Life! I have been busy this week so I haven't had a chance to do any scrapbooking. We started the week in Germany then made it back home in time to get everything ready for a very special 1st Birthday celebration. Hopefully this next week I can find time to finish a couple layouts and start getting caught up.

Project Life Week 8 - February 19 - 25

Sunday - I gave Olivia some pudding for dessert. I thought her messy face was adorable. She decided to have fun playing peek-a-boo!

Monday - This was our last day in Germany. We walked to a little cafe for breakfast.

I didn't take a picture on Tuesday. I was traveling all day and packed my camera in my luggage

Wednesday - Grace was excited about everything I brought back for her. I think this outfit and her sparkly silver shoes were her favorites though!

Thursday - Grace loves to play outside. She can go high on her swing set all by herself!

Thursday - This bunny has been living under her slide for quite a while. We leave lettuce or carrots nearby for it to eat.

Friday - Grandma got out her bead kit to make a necklace for Grace with one of the rocks I brought back for her.

Saturday - Happy Birthday Olivia!! It was Olivia's first birthday so we had a little party. It wouldn't be complete without letting her smash a cake!

Olivia's First Birthday

Saturday was Olivia's birthday so we had a little party.

Here is the birthday girl all dressed up for her party!

She loves to chew on the blowouts. She hasn't quite figured out how to blow in them but she thinks it is really funny whenever someone blows them at her.

It was a very small party. My parents, Papa Bill, Brandy, Andrew, and Brilyn all came to help us celebrate! But even though it was small we couldn't leave out the decorations.

I wanted everything to be pink, girly, and lots of cupcakes. We made mini cupcakes and big cupcakes. Her smash cake was even a giant cupcake!

We opened presents first. Olivia would rather play with the presents than open them. But Grace LOVES to open presents so she helped.

Grace made sure to save the present she got for Olivia for the last. She worked so hard decorating it and I think she did an excellent job! She also picked it out all by herself.

Then it was time for cake!

She was so neat and dainty with her cake. She would just get a little icing on her finger and then lick it off.

Happy Birthday, Olivia Joy!!

Project Life Week 7

Project Life Week 7 - February 12 - 18

This week I am using extra pictures. I have been in Germany all week with our youngest daughter, Olivia.  Grace has been staying with my parents while I have been gone and Daddy is working. I want to include pictures from back home along with the pictures I have been taking here.

Sunday - All dressed up for the Chapel service on post.

Monday - It snowed in Germany AND in Oklahoma! I think Grace had more fun than Olivia since she got to build a snowman and have snowball fights.

Tuesday - We went to the commissary for a few things and I took a picture of the shopping cart. You insert a quarter to unlock it and then you get your quarter back when you return it.

Tuesday - Grace invited some friends over and hosted a valentine's day tea party.

Wednesday - Olivia enjoyed playing in Elly's tunnel.

Thursday - Grace went to Nations of Fun! She won lots of tickets and got to pick several prizes.

Thursday - We took Chelsea to an appointment and Olivia played with the toys in the waiting room. She liked the German books the best!

Friday - Look at this big girl! Where did my baby go? She loved Elly's piano so much I ordered one for her birthday.

Saturday - We drove to Colmberg castle. The girls both fell asleep on the way so I took a few quick pictures before heading to Rothenburg to see more of the city.

I also figured out how to do a little digital scrapbooking. I am using the Project Life Templates and the Cobalt Edition Full Collection from Jessica Sprague. This seemed like the best (easiest) way to get started! I completed Week 1 and I am working on Week 2. I think as I get the hang of things I will get faster (and eventually catch up!)

When we arrived in Germany it was snowing. Olivia got to see her first snow as soon as we stepped off the airplane. But it didn't snow as much at Chelsea's house as it did in the city where the airport is. But on Monday, it really started snowing! That evening I put Olivia in her snow suit and took her out to "play" in it.

Here are a couple pictures I took from the window of Chelsea's house.

And Olivia in the snow for the first time!

I facetimed with my Mom and Grace so that they could watch her.

She kept looking up at the window where Chelsea was holding the iPad :)

Isn't she just too cute? I think she liked the snow!

And it snowed almost all night so we had quite a bit the next morning.

And Grace got snow too! She got to build a snowman, go sledding, and have a snowball fight.

Project Life Week 6

Project Life Week 6 - February 5 - 11

Sunday - Grace was all dressed up for church and decided to lay in Olivia's car seat while waiting to go.

Monday - We went to the park and pond in my parents neighborhood. Grace got to feed the geese and play on the playground!

Tuesday - We checked out the open play time at Tumble Time. I am planning on trying out gymnastics with Grace when I get home from Germany!

Wednesday - The girls enjoyed watching the planes at the airport.

Thursday - This pretty much sums up our day. After traveling all night Olivia was feeling pretty jet lagged.

Friday - Olivia loved the German baby food I bought for her. We are going to have to get some more :)

Saturday - This was my first taste of German food - Schneeballen. It was very yummy!

Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Saturday morning we went to Rothenburg, the city where Ellyana was born! It is a very touristy area and there are lots of shops and pretty buildings.

It is very cold so we got all bundled up. Olivia got to wear her snowsuit!

I am just going to share some of the pictures I took of the town.

We stopped at a cafe for a snack. We all got Schneeballen. Mine was chocolate. They also had cinnamon and powdered sugar. I thought Grace would like the big soda bottle and the little glass they gave me to pour it into.
And Olivia got to try the schneeballen too :)

We stopped at a Christmas store (I was able to buy all of the souvenirs we collect at one place!) and then I found a neat shop that sold rocks. I bought several for the collection Grace is starting.

Here are more pictures of the town.

On our way back we stopped at a Burger King off of the autobahn. We seemed to confuse the people working when we ordered water with our King Box. They brought out mine and Chelsea's kid meals but didn't know what we were drinking. We had both finished our lunch before they brought out Terre's food and our water! And, Grace, that little green whale is the one I got for you I think :)
And I thought Grace would like to see what their playground looks like. I think Nations of Fun is probably a lot better!
And here is a picture of the snow!!!
