We have been getting quite a bit of rain and wind due to Typhoon Morakot. It appears we won't get to worst part of the storm but we will see heavy wind and downpours. It did make Mom's flight last night a bit interesting. They thought about turning back to Tokyo because of the winds but finally slid (literally) onto the runway! Here is a satellite image I downloaded this morning. See the little green island by the arrow? That is us!

aw typhoons! defined many toddler events for me... i dont think we have a story from Oki that doesnt start with..."there was a typhoon and Sarah..."
