Fall?

It seems everyone is talking about fall. And here there is nothing that feels like fall. The weather is hot and muggy. We can still wear shorts flip flops. There is no need for a jacket or sweater even at night. I have been wearing my jeans because it makes it feel more like fall around here but that just results in being even hotter.

We did, however, find a pumpkin patch (well, the closest thing we can get over here - a bin of pumpkins in the commissary). And we found the perfect one for Grace! I can't wait until we are able to take Grace to a big field of pumpkins. I think we will end up buying whichever one she chooses to make up for this year and next only having a commissary bought pumpkin.

Maybe I should go ahead and put up the rest of my fall decor. By the time the weather starts to feel like fall we may be ready to put up our Christmas tree.

I know what you mean. I an envious of all the bloggers who have pictures of leaves turning and have pulled out the scarves and sweaters. We still have 80+ degree weather during the day. Oh well. That pumpkin is the perfect size for your little one! Adorable pictures!

Awww.... when Grace comes back to the US we'll have to find one of those HUGE pumpkin patches with the cornstalk mazes to walk through and go on a hay ride.

And - it's still warm here. It gets kind of cool in the evening, but not cold. I wore capri's and Dad wore shorts to our soccer shoot last night, so it hasn't cooled off much. But, it's almost October, so it should be getting cooler soon.

Love,
Mom/Grandma

Well.... guess what? We just went to the Shank Farm and walked through the Pumpkin Patch and they had a corn Maze too! It is only 15 minutes from our house and we thought of Gracie too!
When Grace comes to see US we'll find one of those HUGE pumpkins and walk through the cornstalk mazes.

Love, Papa
